I feel like to be a good wedding planner it is my duty to be in the know of the newest and best venues and vendors in our industry. That means a lot of driving, networking and research. One of my favorite ways to get to know the new venues is by attending the wedding association luncheons. I am a part of an association that consists of some really amazing and talented professionals and every month they host a luncheon at a different venue. Let me tell you about this gem I found....
This month we had the pleasure of having our luncheon at River Road Chateau in Anna, Tx. This venue has recently come into new ownership and the owners have done an absolutely amazing job at giving this place a totally new look. The wrought iron chandeliers are my favorite feature of this venue. The venue has a full warming kitchen that has a bar service opening up to one of the patios. Both sides of the venue are lined with wooden doors that have large glass pane windows and let in plenty of natural lighting.
There is also plenty to see outside including an outdoor ceremony area that has two tall standing gray wood doors that open up to the ceremony area and a beautiful arch with yet another gorgeous chandelier. The property has beautiful pear, apple and peach trees, a green room type garden to sit and relax in, and large decorative fountains.
As if this wasn't plenty already, just walking distance from the venue is Belle Manor. For a very reasonable fee, the couple and their wedding party can stay in this beautiful two story french country styled house. It can sleep up to 13 guests and you can definitely see that the owners gave lots of thought and attention to every detail in this house, from the door knobs to the color and type of bedding. Something else I love about Belle Manor is that you don't have to book the venue to book the house. (Although, if the venue is booked the bride & groom get preference over someone else interested in booking only Belle Manor, which is completely fair & understandable). I think it would be an adorable idea to stay here for your wedding night and come back and stay at Belle Manor again for an anniversary weekend.
This venue has so much to offer and is truly a gem.
Before I end my post, I wanted to recognize Krysti at River Road for being such a wonderful host and to Chris the owner of Elixir for providing some amazingly delicious beverages to keep us cool and happy in this Texas heat. Also, a big thanks to CD Portraits for providing the awesome pictures to post in my blog.
